Therapeutic Optometrist
Dr. Dimple Patel Arya was born in Webster, Texas, and raised in Sugar Land, Texas. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's in Human Nutrition and Foods from the University of Houston. She went on to obtain a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry.
While in optometry school, she received the prestigious Excellence in Primary Care Award for the Class of 2007. She was also president of the Diverse Optometric Student Association (DOSA) and a member of Student Volunteers for Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH).
Dr Arya completed an ocular pathology rotation at BridgeBuilders Eye Clinic in Dallas, Texas, and a rotation in family eye care and ocular pathology at La Nueva Casa de Amigos in Houston, Texas. Dr. Arya’s training includes treatment of diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, Glaucoma management, contact lens evaluations, and primary and pediatric care. She is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, by the Texas Optometry Board.
Dr. Arya is also certified to provide eye care by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. Professionally, Dr. Arya is a member of Women of Vision, Ocular Nutrition Society, Harris County Optometric Society, Texas Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association.
Dr. Arya is a proud member of FBISD's SHAC (Student Health Advisory Committee). As an InfantSee provider, Dr. Arya provides eye care services to infants as young as 6 months old. Dr. Arya has always had a lifelong goal to become a doctor and ultimately be able to provide the highest level of eye care for her patients. On a personal note, she enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
She lives in Sugar Land, TX with her husband Vik and her children Ethan and Kira.
